GLASS APP
JD Salinger is well known for writing books such as The Catcher in the Rye. However, he has also written many short stories and novels about a fictional family called the Glass family. This app acts as a tool and a guide for readers who are unfamiliar with the family or have read a little about them and are interested in learning more.
The user has the option to dive deeper into all 9 members of the family, explore each character's individual timeline as well as the family's timeline as a whole, and explore the novels and short stories in which the characters were mentioned.
The design of the app is heavily inspired by the physical books themselves which have a very minimalistic but very recognizable color palette. Aspects of the user experience are meant to emulate the act of reading by having the user pull pages up to read information.
